Forever Living Products practices organic farming
On more than 7,500 hectares, Forever Living Products grows 50 million plants and produces approximately 30,000,000 liters of aloe vera each year. Aloe Barbadensis Miller is the most nutritious variety of aloe vera and is the only type grown by Forever Living Products. This aloe vera can produce leaves for up to five years.
Aloe leaves are harvested by hand to ensure that each leaf is perfect for harvest and that the aloe plant is not damaged. Each leaf is filleted by hand to extract only the pure, strong inner leaf of aloe vera gel.
People have been using aloe vera for its soothing properties since 2200 BC.
The Forever Living Products company is a well-rounded entity

The values of Forever
Many people outside of Forever are aware of Forever as a company. But the extent of this understanding doesn’t always extend much beyond knowing that Forever Living Products makes aloe vera-based products. Which are sold at retail through network marketing.
Aloe may play a significant role, but deep-seated values and ethics have also helped shape Forever’s core. It is these values, together with our mission, that make our company truly impressive. These are some of the key areas that make up an integral part of Forever.
We produce quality products
Raw materials may differ depending on the method of harvesting, climate, season and storage conditions. We strive to minimize these variations and ensure the quality of our aloe. All leaves are processed and packed for shipment to our production facilities within hours of harvest.
Our manufacturing facility, Aloe Vera America (AVA), located in Dallas, Texas, typically takes four months to complete product creation from the time the raw ingredients arrive. This is because we want to make sure that our products are of the highest quality. This is a value that Forever considers a key component in the way it builds its business.
Last year, AVA used over five million gallons of pure aloe in all of our products. That’s the equivalent of filling a bathtub every day for 275 years! Thanks to phenomenal growth, AVA has invested in new state-of-the-art equipment. In order to ensure that the products continue to be produced effectively, efficiently and with the highest possible quality.
We understand that our reputation rests on the quality of our products, and quality brings results. Thousands of raw materials arrive at AVA every day and each one is tested before being put into products. This ensures that there are no microbes, traces of fungi or heavy metals etc. The raw material is then tested again before it goes through the manufacturing process, with a final test on completion. And if that wasn’t enough, stability tests are conducted with final checks. To ensure our products are as clean as possible before they reach our FBOs and customers. In total, AVA annually performs over 1.5 million quality tests. This is the equivalent of one test every twenty seconds, twenty four hours a day!
We take care of the environment
Forever continuously evaluates practices to improve its operations. We don’t do it because it’s trendy; we do it because we believe it’s right!
Forever’s products go through an extraordinary process; a process that always starts with the aloe plant. Our aloe plants grow in our aloe fields in the Dominican Republic and in Texas, USA. We have over 6,500 hectares of aloe here – the largest aloe plantation in the world is located in the Dominican Republic. We constantly do our best to ensure a high yield, but we also take the environment into account.
Water usage
We recently underwent a procedure that reduces our water consumption; we understand that water is an important natural resource, so we started a new irrigation system. Instead of maxing out the fields like we did in the past, we actually use a drip system that spots the aloe plant. This is a much more efficient system and has dramatically reduced our water usage since its implementation.
Our aloe leaves are handpicked and handled with care. The sheets are processed within a few hours. Ensuring you get the purest, freshest aloe vera gel, intact with all its inherent qualities. And we actually process over 85,000 kg per day.
Waste management
Approximately 30,000 of those kilograms could be considered waste. We take out the inner gel and leave the peel. But instead of wasting the bark, we grind it up and return it to the soil as a natural fertilizer. We do not use chemical fertilizers on aloe. Similarly, we do not want to use traditional pesticides on our plantation. A plantation where more than 30 million aloe plants live.
Pest control
The best pest control we have introduced to our fields is in the form of our world famous goat aloe. Our fleet of goats eats all the unwanted weeds allowing the top crop to grow without compromising the health of the aloe.
Reducing the carbon footprint
We’re also always looking at what we can do to reduce our carbon footprint and you may have noticed some changes to our packaging recently as a result. We’ve also implemented a strict and regulated recycling program at Aloe Vera of America to ensure we don’t waste anything that shouldn’t be wasted.
